Kojo Funds features in a new video collaborating with Timberland Cityroam, in which the afro-swing artist revisits key locations of his upbringing in Canning Town, London, roaming the district and exploring his music roots.

The film features the track ‘Who am I’ which will appear on Kojo Funds’ new mixtape Golden Boy, to be released later this month.

In the video, Kojo showcases the community that shaped his cultural, musical and artistic development.

Starting on Freemason’s road near where Kojo grew up, the video follows the rising star of UK afro-swing as he lays down a track at a local studio and gets a fresh cut in the neighbourhood barber, before relaxing and sharing stories with close friends he’s had since childhood.

Speaking about the video Kojo Funds said: “Collaborating with Cityroam to talk about my journey has been enlightening for me. I can see how the struggles and experiences I went through motivated me to work harder and led me to where I am now. When I was younger I would see my music idols wearing Timberland, so for me, it feels like I’ve come full circle”.

Kojo’s mixtape Golden Boy, including track ‘Who Am I’ feat. Bugzy Malone, launches September 28th.

The new Timberland Cityroam Alpine chukka, available online and in-stores now, perfectly fuses Timberland’s iconic field boot heritage with outdoor utility innovation - the Cityroam is ideal for urban roaming.
