"Second Release Of The Year For K. Star Shows Great Potential, Ranking Alongside R&b Legends" -- Forbes Music News
Dallas, Texas - Taking her singing career to the next level has always been the ultimate mission for K. Star. As a teenager she was one spot away from the American Idol stage and now as an adult she is 26 spots away from her first number one ranking as an artist.
K. Star made her debut into the mainstream with her previous single "Watch Her Work." The single was picked up by over 200 radio and club dj's around the world. It would also break over 33K streams on the popular streaming network Spotify and mark the launch of her family owned record label Sub Zero Wreckids.
Headphones was a single introduced to the world to silence the critics, letting everybody know that their words were falling on deaf ears and that she would continue to pursue her dreams. Now more than ever it seems as if those dreams are coming true as K. Star breaks into the Digtracks top 40 r&b tracks joining sensational artists such as Tory Lanez and John Legend.
This is surely not looking to be the peak for this record as it was just released to the digtracks network less than 24 hours ago (October 26, 2016). In a saturate market where almost everyday there are thousands of records released into the record pools. Tracks from r&b greates like Mary J. Blige, Joe, Robin Thicke, Solange and Sammie were also released in the past 14 days. In deed some heavy competition for the young artist, but sitting at no.27 she looks to be holding her own.
