London’s feminist punk witches Dream Nails have come up with a way of recreating the “gig” experience in times when your traditional gig is not a possibility. “We all miss playing live gigs,” says guitarist Anya Pearson. “So we decided to bring Dream Nails’ riotous live shows straight to your living room! After months of lockdown, our fans are yearning for that authentic punk show experience, so we’ll send out a ‘Gig in a Box’ with all the kit you need to recreate a gig at home! As well as exclusive merch and other goodies, we’ve even consulted a surface designer to create a square of sticky venue flooring for you to stand on – how immersive is that?! See you in the pit!”

The “Gig In A Box” will enable the purchaser to take part in Dream Nails House Party #1 livestream on Saturday 05 September at 7.30pm BST. The band will be playing the whole of their debut album, set for release 28 August via Alcopop! Records, as well as chatting to fans and answering questions throughout the show. The “Gig In A Box” includes that custom crafted piece of sticky venue flooring to stand on, exclusive ‘Dream Nails House Party’ merch specially designed by Genie Espinosa, a real gig ticket and wristband, a drink, plus more awesome stuff.

Says Jack of Alcopop! Records: “Live streamed and socially distanced shows have been keeping us going over the last few months, but here at Alcopop! we always like to do things a little differently... So we and Dream Nails have chatted to our pals at Signature Brew and INNERJI to bring the gig experience as close as possible RIGHT to your home. With drinks, window stickers (your house is the venue, right?) setlists, earplugs, wristbands and loads of other fun we were halfway there - but the real pièce de résistance is the sticky floor panel to stand on, so it's right like being up the front in The Lexington again! Best of all, Dream Nails know how to bring a PROPER party, so just isn't going to be just a live stream... but you'll have to pick up a box (or the debut album) to get in and find out exactly what it's all about!”

The gig beers included in the box are powered by Signature Brew, the ultimate gig beer, and the non-alcoholic drinks are powered by INNERJI, an energising tonic made with Jiaogulan that is 100% caffeine free, vegan and all natural.

You’ll also get a raffle ticket for the chance to win prizes during the show. All items will be lovingly packed by the band and sealed with a hex. The “Gig In A Box” bundle is available now for a mere £11. Alternatively, you can pre-order ‘Dream Nails’ and you’ll be sent a free streaming link for the event. Those who have a ticket to one of the postponed Dream Nails real life shows can also attend for free if they forward their ticket confirmation to dreamnailsevents@gmail.com">http://dreamnailsevents@gmail.com. You’ll need to buy your “Gig in a Box” separately though, for the full immersive experience. NB. There are limited boxes available and orders for the boxes close at 6pm BST on Friday 21 August. The livestream link will be sent out closer to the time.

Dream Nails House Party #1 will livestream from the heart of South East London, at Goldsmiths Music Studios. Joy Stacey of OMNII, a women and non-binary sound production collective, will be on sound engineering duties. This live-streamed show has been supported by the PPL Momentum Music Fund. PPL Momentum is managed by PRS Foundation, with support from PPL, Creative Scotland, Arts Council of Wales, Welsh Government, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Invest NI, with additional funding and support from Spotify.
