Los Angeles based Frankie Bird releases her latest single, Miss You Love You, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
In Frankie’s own words: ‘Miss You Love You is a song about a love that's long passed and reminiscing on the time spent together. It's about wanting to call and tell the other person you miss them but always talking yourself out of it. This was the first song I wrote and recorded for this project and established what the rest of the music would sound like. We wanted to capture the nostalgic feeling by recording strings that felt cinematic as well as rotary phones, and heartbeats that became a part of the drum beat. My hope is that if you're missing someone and want to tell them, whether that's a friend, partner, loved one, whoever, that this song helps you to do so.’
Frankie Bird, formerly known as FRANKIE, has toured the US with acts like Troye Sivan, Dua Lipa, Charlie Puth, Daya, and was featured on Taylor Swift’s “Songs That Will Make Your Life More Awesome” playlist.
During the pandemic Frankie reinvented herself by going back to her singer-songwriter roots following her time in the pop world. She wrote a concept album on her guitar in her living room reflecting on the high highs and low lows of her twenties. She wanted all new collaborators for this new project and met three incredibly talented musicians (Jake Jamieson, Austin Myles Grant, Thomas Lea) who helped bring her new cinematic sound and vision to life. This was the kind of music Frankie had always wanted to make and the kind of artist she had always wanted to become. This new chapter of music marked a fresh start and rebirth. After years of Frankie’s family calling her “their songbird” she decided to be called Frankie Bird.
Since June Frankie has released 4 singles and videos for Twenty Nothing, When We Were Young, Float, and If I’m Being Honest which have garnered over 1,000,000 streams and received praise from Billboard, Rolling Stone, Nylon, Broadway World, Atwood Magazine, Spotify, Apple and more. Her anticipated debut album, Twenty Something, will be out early this year. This is just the beginning for this reimagined songbird.
