Liam Payne has today released the video for his single ‘Familiar’ with J Balvin. The video was shot in Miami and stars both Liam and J Balvin.
Since its release two weeks ago, Liam’s single ‘Familiar’ has seen a rapturous response: it has been streamed over 16 million times on Spotify already, and was chosen as BBC Radio 1’s Tune Of The Week. The lyric video has seen over 10 million views in the week since it was released.
‘Familiar’ is Liam’s latest single since launching his solo career with debut single ‘Strip That Down’ featuring Quavo – the biggest-selling single solo single from a current member of One Direction. The song has sold over 9 million units to date, been certified triple platinum in Australia, double platinum in Canada and Ireland, with platinum status in the USA, UK, Italy, New Zealand and Sweden.
Liam followed ‘Strip That Down’ with his sophomore single ‘Bedroom Floor’, which has over 86 million streams on Spotify, and saw Bella Thorne star alongside Liam for its official video.
Liam’s previous single before ‘Familiar’ was his duet with Rita Ora, ‘For You’, for the Fifty Shades Freed Official Soundtrack. The single was number on iTunes globally, spent thirteen weeks on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number 8 and was number one on the UK and European airplay charts. It has in excess of 145 million streams on Spotify, and the official video has over 115 million views to date.
‘Familiar’ by Liam Payne and J Balvin is out now on Capitol Records.
