Today (Friday 22nd March) Renowned Nigerian singer-songwriter Joeboy has released the highly anticipated music video for his latest single, 'Osadebe' via Young Legend / Warner Music Africa.

Directed by filmmaker Jyde Ajala, known for his work with the biggest names in Afrobeats including Omah Lay, Fireboy DML and Asake, the captivating video combines vibrant visuals and mesmerizing choreography as it captures the essence of the track's primary message, which pays homage to the late Chief Osita Osadebe's iconic care-free hit ‘Osondi Owendi’. Shot in his hometown, the video sees Joeboy pull up to a museum-like building with a superhero’s demeanour, with the presence of a mysterious yet enigmatic female presence looking to lure him inside as she’s backed by an army of dancers who surround him upon entry.

Joeboy’s knack for creating infectious and soulful Afrobeats hits has earned him a dedicated fan base. 'Osadebe', his first single under his new label, showcases a new chapter in Joeboy's career, demonstrating his growth both sonically and visually.

Following the audio release last month, ’Osadebe’ has gone on to surpass 3 million streams, with the drop of the music video seamlessly complementing the infectious energy of the song. Its release paves the way for a trailblazing period, with a new release confirmed for April and a run of headline shows to follow.

Joeboy's journey to stardom began in 2017 when he caught the attention of emPawa Africa founder Mr Eazi, with a cover of Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You." Since then, he has risen to prominence with hit singles like ‘Baby’, ‘Beginning’, and ‘Don’t Call Me Back (feat. Mayorkun)’. Joeboy has become a global export, amassing over 2 billion streams and earning the title of the 2nd African artist to surpass 100 million streams on Spotify, making him the 17th Afrobeats artist to achieve this milestone.

At 26, Joeboy has spent 5 years at the apex of the African Music scene and is set to take it up a notch.
