GINTSUGI Unveils Hidden Truths and Soulful Melodies With New Album 'The Elephant in the Room'OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY Moonlight PR Available from October 20th, THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM, GINTSUGI's second production, is the fruit of overflowing creativity and deep, articulate international influences. Fruit of a moment of both global and personal crisis, THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM draws GINTSUGI plays an important role in the production: she writes, then records, tracks for months on end in his home studio with a Native sound library, a Moog, a computer and the violin of one of his collaborators, Eymeric Anselem. The production was finalized in collaboration with Beautiful Losers Records, who also mixed and mastered the work. From this effort emerge nine tracks, nine little worlds, each illuminating an aspect of reality: the difference and contrast between the feeling of love and the social structures in which it can develop, or by which it can be fought and repressed; the relationship between the unlimited consumption of resources and climate catastrophes; the search for healing from an addiction that weakens and humiliates, the recognition of a soulful closeness to those who have brought a placebo from their wounds. The sound oscillates between velvety, hallucinatory art/pop and post-rock reminiscent of the lessons of the 1990s. The illustrations, created by two visual artists, GIULIANO SGROI and GABRIELE BARBAGALLO (SONO for Artists), are further elements of the universe created by the album: invisible body particles in COMPLETE, overlapping identities in MON COEUR... In addition to the violin collaboration, the album features the artist ARE YOU REAL? on vocals for an eventful version of OUTSIDE, a track released in 2021. "If it were a tarot card, the album would be the Nameless Arcane. Born of desolation and great solitude, it rests on the backbone of things. It's a direct confrontation with reality. A disappointment, but also the realization that you can sometimes find nourishment where you've never looked. And the endurance to carry on, despite everything". -Gintsugi
