Denver indie band ‘bellhoss’ release their latest single ‘Better Now’. With a sound reminiscent of Waxahatchee, ALVVAYS, and Soccer Mommy, bellhoss sits in a purgatory between folk and DIY punk.

Their latest single ‘Better Now’ offers listeners an insight into their eclectic sound. A punchy defiant track that features rousing harmonies, catchy guitar hooks and driving basslines atop an endearing vocal performance by lead singer Becky Hostetler. The accompanying music video features the band playing by a reservoir while Becky calls out to someone who was once a close friend in the song’s chorus: “I miss you, I miss what we used to do, I’m so confused.”

Becky Hostetler describes the impact of the track further “I felt emotionally nauseous until I wrote this song/ I feel…better now that it’s out in the world.”

The brainchild of Becky Hostetler, bellhoss formed in 2017 after Becky relocated from southern California to Denver, Colorado. Beginning as a solo artist Becky started collaborating with other artists, bands and producers before settling on the current bellhoss live lineup of Neil McCormick (Bass), Michael Everett (Drums), Nirantha Balogopal (Lead Guitar) and Sarah Ault (backing vocals). bellhoss has previously released two EPs Geraniums (2019) and Hiding (2021) garnering praise across press platforms and performing live on PBS. bellhoss has also toured extensively across the western US, from Phoenix to LA and Honolulu, sharing stages with the likes of Ratboys, Post Animal, Girlpool and Stef Chura to name a few. With the release of their latest single ‘Better Now’ bellhoss looks forward to the year ahead with plenty more shows and the promise of a new EP in the works.
