Vancouver-based Chinese-Canadian pop artist TiANYU releases her latest single ‘REALiTY’. The track was written and produced by TiANYU who is also an internationally acclaimed concert pianist, actor and model.

Her latest offering ‘REALiTY’ combines alternative R&B with pop sensibilities to create a reflective track that explores the feeling of wanting to be positive and find the silver lining in things while knowing in the back of your mind that the reality is something completely different. Utilising her years as a pianist, TiANYU crafts a sombre soundscape brimming with soft melodies, expansive percussion elements and deep basslines that frame TiANYU’s vocal performance perfectly.

Speaking on the track TiANYU says “The track is about trying to search for the light and direction when knowing that sometimes the reality sucks a little.”

As a concert pianist, TiANYU has played hundreds of shows across Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East, performing at major venues including Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, Jerusalem Music Centre, Barcelona Arts Centre, and CBC Glenn Gould Studio. Her Modelling career has seen TiANYU work with the likes of MAC Cosmetics and Natasha Denona as well as appearing in international fashion magazines such as PAP Magazine, Israel Fashion Magazine, Lucy Magazine and Know Magazine.

Throughout covid, TiANYU started pursuing an acting career, currently signed under Performers Management as well as developing her passion for music producing and songwriting. Having already released three singles along with her latest track REALiTY, TiANYU looks ahead to the future with her next single ‘What’s GOOD’ slated for release on September 1st.
