Breakout star Benson Boone celebrates his first-ever Official Number 1 single with Beautiful Things this week.

The Washington-born singer-songwriter lifts one place to the summit with the single in its ninth week on chart, ending Beyoncé’s five-week reign with TEXAS HOLD ‘EM.

Beautiful Things is also the most-streamed song of the past seven days, racking up 6.6 million combined UK audio and video streams.

As she secures a second week atop the Official Albums Chart with eternal sunshine, Ariana Grande’s heart wrenching hit we can’t be friends (wait for your love) claims a brand-new peak, climbing one to Number 2.

Highest new entry of the week comes courtesy of BTS star V, who enjoys his first solo UK Top 20 single with FRI(END)S at Number 13, as Mark Knopfler’s Guitar Heroes’ Going Home (Theme from Local Hero) re-recording is this week’s Number 17. The track sees Dire Straits guitarist Knopfler recruit over 60 rock music legends – from Joan Jett to Jeff Beck – to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust UK and Teen Cancer America. The original version of Going Home, Knopfler’s debut solo single, peaked at Number 56 in 1983.

Going Home (Theme from Local Hero) tops this week’s Official Vinyl Singles Chart, the UK’s most-purchased song on vinyl this week, as well as the Official Singles Sales chart with over 15,200 pure sales.

Michael Marcagi’s Scared To Start reaches new highs this week, breaking into the Top 10 for the first time in its 10-week chart run (10).

Giddy up! Rising American singer-songwriter Dasha earns her first UK Top 20 single with viral hit Austin (15) which boot scoots up ten places. The song’s seeing huge success on TikTok, with users posting their videos of Dasha’s line dance choreography. Get to know more about Dasha here.

Rising Alabama-raised rapper Flo Milli, born Tamia Monique Carter, rebounds an incredible 49 spots back into the Top 40 with Never Lose Me (23).

RAYE’s latest My 21st Century Blues single Worth It. lifts one to reach its best position yet (33) and, finally, Irish dance duo NewEra fly to new highs, with Birds In The Sky returning to the Top 40 amid its viral social media success (34).
