Official Singles Chart.

Sabrina Carpenter fends off some tough competition to secure a third week at Number 1 in the UK with Espresso.

The frothy, funky summer bop comes out on top as the most-streamed song in the country (8.5 million streams) once again.

Just missing out on the top spot this week are Post Malone & Morgan Wallen, whose new collaboration, country banger I Had Some Help, debuts at Number 2 as this week’s highest new entry, trailing Espresso by little under 2,000 chart units.

It's Post Malone’s ninth Top 10 single and the first for Morgan Wallen, an exciting breakthrough moment for an artist who is already a superstar in his native US, and another sign the UK is undergoing a country renaissance right now.

Kendrick Lamar continues to rise, with diss track Not Like Us jumping up four today to a brand-new peak of Number 6.

US rising star Mark Ambor is closer than ever to his first Top 10 hit. Long-running hit Belong Together rises to a new peak of Number 11…could next week be his week?

Luton-raised singer-songwriter Myles Smith makes his UK Top 40 debut today as the tender Stargazing enters at Number 12. Read more about Myles’s Official Singles Chart journey here.

Slow It Down by Benson Boone, the follow-up to his chart topping single Beautiful Things, jumps seven places to a new peak of Number 16, becoming Benson’s second Top 20 hit.

Eurovision winner Nemo earns debut UK Top 20 single, Baby Lasagna and Joost enter Top 40

Huge congratulations are in order for Switzerland’s Nemo, who has not only won the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, but claimed their first UK Top 20 single to boot.

Genre-bending track The Code – which was written about Nemo coming to terms with their non-binary identity – debuts in the UK today at Number 18, becoming Nemo’s first entry in the Official Singles Chart.

For the last five years in a row (discounting the cancelled 2020 contest due to COVID-19), every single Eurovision winner has now placed within the UK Top 40 in the chart week following the contest, with Nemo joining 2019 winner Duncan Laurence’s Arcade (29), 2021 winners Maneskin with Zitti E Buoni (17), 2022 victors Kalush Orchestra with Stefania (38) and 2023’s record-setting champion Loreen with Tattoo (2).

Two further Eurovision 2024 entrants are present in the Top 40 this week; second-place act Baby Lasagna from Croatia with Rum Tim Tagi Dim (36) and the Netherlands’ Joost, who despite being disqualified from the Grand Final, earns enough support from the British public to clinch a Top 40 finish with Europapa (37).

Outside the Top 40, the UK’s representative Olly Alexander’s hypnotic Dizzy re-enters the chart at Number 48 (having initially peaked at Number 42 upon release) and Ireland’s gothic witch Bambie Thug with Doomsday Blue at Number 67.

Official Albums Chart

Kings Of Leon claim this week’s highest new entry on the Official Albums Chart, as Taylor Swift returns to the top.

As she brings The Eras Tour to Europe, Taylor’s The Tortured Poets Department lifts one to spend its third non-consecutive week at Number 1.

Can We Please Have Fun, Kings Of Leon’s ninth studio album, is this week’s highest new entry (2). The Kid Harpoon-produced record becomes the Nashville rockers’ ninth UK Top 10 LP, joining 2003’s Youth And Young Manhood (3), 2004’s Aha Shake Heartbreak (3), 2007 release Because Of The Times (1), 2008’s Only By The Night (1), 2010 LP Come Around Sundown (1), 2013’s Mechanical Bull (1), 2016’s Walls (1) and 2021 album When You See Yourself (1). Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Keane’s debut Hopes And Fears returns to the Top 10 for the first time in 19 years this week (3). The former chart-topper, which spawned the singles Somewhere Only We Know, Everybody’s Changing, Bedshaped and This Is The Last Time, was reissued on brand-new formats containing b-sides and rarities.

Manchester rapper Bugzy Malone celebrates his sixth Top 40 album with The Great British Dream (13). Previously, Bugzy saw success with 2015’s Walk With Me (8), 2016’s Facing Time (6), 2017 release King Of The North (4), 2018’s B.Inspired (6) and 2021 record The Resurrection (7).

M Huncho and Potter Payper earn their first-ever collaborative Top 40 album with 36 Hours (28). It becomes British trap star M Huncho’s sixth Top 40 work, and Barking-born rapper and songwriter Potter Payper’s fifth.

It’s a 10th Top 40 album for Gabrielle with A Place In Your Heart this week (30), while Queen’s 2007 live LP Rock Montreal returns to the Top 40 for the first time in 17 years following a reissue and the arrival of its concert film on Disney+.

New Zealand-born, London-based singer-songwriter Jordan Rakei secures his first Top 40 album with The Loop (36), which also tops this week’s Official Record Store Chart as the best-selling album in UK independent record shops. Join Jordan Rakei as he discusses the album on The Record Club, streaming live on Wednesday May 22 at 5.30pm.

Finally, independent label Black Country punk duo BIG SPECIAL, comprising Joe Hicklin and Callum Moloney, celebrate their Official Albums Chart debut with POSTINDUSTRIAL HOMETOWN BLUES (37).
