Breakout Artist Katy Tunbridge is set to captivate music enthusiasts with her upcoming single, "Lying Through Your Teeth," scheduled for release on October 27 with a pre-release on the 23rd. This exciting release is a prelude to her much-anticipated album and showcases Tunbridge's distinctive musical talent.

Katy Tunbridge began penning "Lying Through Your Teeth" with a burst of inspiration that many can relate to – an invasion of privacy. "I started writing the song when my neighbors kept on opening my mail and saying they didn't or told me that they thought it was theirs. I then started thinking about all the ways people lie, in relationships, business, politics and the song developed from there" Tunbridge said.

"I wanted it to be a seductive groove, something for the new musical genre of Dream Pop. Like how I imagine Santana would write a James Bond theme song. Oh yeah, 'cause spies lie too." (Link for Lying Through Your Teeth below)

Katy Tunbridge embarked on her newest musical journey in Nashville earlier this year while working on her upcoming album. This dynamic single is the first release from the album, promising an impressive collection of songs from the international artist.

To craft this sensational single, Katy Tunbridge collaborated with a team of exceptional talents, including Grammy-nominated producer Billy Smiley (known for his work with Johnny Cash, WhiteHeart, Clay Aiken and BeBe and CeCe Winans), Gary Lunn on bass guitar (whose credits include Dolly Parton and Billy Ray Cyrus), Blair Masters on keys (Peter Frampton, Garth Brooks and Barry Manilow), Dan Needham on drums (noted for his work with Michael McDonald and Chicago), Jonathan Crone (Mat Kearney, Bebe & Cece Winans, Danny Gokey) on electric guitar and Katy Tunbridge on acoustic guitar, vocals & backing vocals.

Katy is an Aussie; born and raised on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. After winning an acting scholarship in LA, she had the opportunity of living between Sydney and LA for three years, Katy then moved to New York City for five & a half years where she also attained her Diploma in Recording Engineering and Music Production. Katy is also a singer/songwriter and has been singing and playing guitar since she was 8 years old. After writing & producing music, kids music and jingles for other people for 10 years Katy started releasing her own music in 2017 & also had the exciting opportunity to sing gigs in New York, LA & Sydney.

Katy has studied at schools such as NIDA, Anthony Meindl LA, Clay Banks Acting Studio & accent coaching LA, Screen Actors Workshop with Alan Nurthen, TVi LA, LA Voiceover Academy with Melissa Disney, Voiceover coaching with Grant Lyndon and the infamous Edge Studio New York; Katy has also booked roles in tv, film and commercials as well as performing on stage in Sydney, LA and New York.

Having worked with some phenomenal people in the entertainment industry over the years such as Bruce Watson, Les King, Willie Brown Jr, Ken Stacey, Graham Ward & B-Fine/Fullforce to name a few; Katy is excited to bring some more music over this next year (2023) that feature some great musicians in genres such as Rock, Soul, RnB & Reggae; that is guaranteed to get some toes tapping.
