Daniels’ single ‘’Brighter Than This’’. Derwin Daniels is a seasoned professional saxophone player, and multi instrumentalist with over thirty five years in the music industry.

A native of Beaumont Texas, Daniels credits his late father as being a major influence in his music career, by surrounding him with a plethora of musical opportunities at a very young age. While on drums, as a teen, he toured with R&B legend and world renowned vocalist and guitar, Barbara Lynn, known for the hit ‘’You’ll lose a Good Thing.’’He also performed and recorded with Zebra Records’jazz artist and guitarist, Zachary Breaux. In 2007, Daniels met up with the award winning group, Ohio Players’ frontman, Leroy ‘’Sugarcoat’’ Bonner, and became a touring member of ‘’Sugarcoat Bonner’s Ohio Players’ . Daniels has performed worldwide qt Billboard Live on Osaka and Tokyo Japan, Accra and Cape Coast in Ghana, Ipanema Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Bermuda Festival in Switzerland, with Diana Greenleaf. He is the author of ‘’Jazz Prep Playback’’;, a primer for musicians wanting to improve their improvisation skills.
