NEW YORK, NY – October 11 TH – Rising New York-based songstress Bria Lee releases her debut EP Little Room today—listen HERE !

The seven-track EP features the buzzing artists’ breakout single “One Shot” feat. Fat Joe and its powerhouse Pitbull remix, as well as three new songs, including lead track “ Throwing Darts,” which sees her truly hit the bullseye. Rounding out the tracklisting are the stunning “ Piece By Piece” and the upbeat collaboration “ Nowhere” with Chris Webby.

Of her debut project, Bria Lee says “Little Room is a collection of songs, most of which were written in close quarters. Writing these songs was very therapeutic for me, as I was forced to face my emotions head-on and come to terms with my past, my addictions, and my relationships. This EP really helped me begin to find myself as an artist.”

She continues, “‘Throwing Darts’ a song about keeping your guard up, building walls and not letting people get too close because you’re afraid of getting hurt. It’s something that I think we all go through at some point in our lives, and if you really love someone then it’s inevitable that those walls will eventually be knocked down.”

Growing up in a musical household in Providence, Rhode Island, Bria Lee’s mother sang and played guitar and her father was fascinated with artists and musicians, urging her to not let her talents go to waste. At the age of 17, Bria matriculated at New York’s Manhattan School of Music where she studied classical piano; but she soon found herself aimless in an 80-hour grind. Between waiting tables and working at a pizzeria, Bria wedged in restaurant gigs and quickly became a fixture on the NYC jazz scene as a singer. But it would be one fateful record label showcase that changed everything. After the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Bria signed to Republic Records and her debut singles, “ Purple Clouds ” and “One Shot” feat. Fat Joe , exude a sensually emotive sensibility that fuses rugged hip-hop beats with sublime, edgy pop and allude to her forthcoming debut album.
