UK company Urban Pup recently signed a licensing agreement with the creators of Wallace and Gromit, Aardman - a multi-award-winning independent animation studio - to produce a range of Wallace & Gromit dog raincoats and accessories featuring patterns inspired by the beloved characters.

Denis Kelly, Managing Director of UrbanPup.com, said: “We will be celebrating the anniversary of The Wrong Trousers by showcasing Gromit’s raincoat and sou’wester. In the film Gromit feeling rejected by Wallace, packed his belongings, and left home. But it was raining and as he didn’t want to get wet, on went his raincoat and sou’wester. This is the only time Gromit is seen wearing a coat. So, we thought fans around the world would love it if we brought the outfit to life."

The Wrong Trousers was released on 17 December 1993 in the USA and 26 December 1993 in the UK. This year will mark the 31st anniversary of the characters.

The full range includes Gromit’s raincoat, Gromit’s raincoat & sou’wester, harness, bandana, collar and lead and Wallace’s sweater - the same sweater that Wallace wears, including tie. There is also a Wallace and Gromit gift box available for that special occasion.
