Sky Q, the award-winning TV box, is getting some new features and a collection  of HDR  movies  for all the family to enjoy. Rolling out over the next month, the features will  make  Sky Q even more personalised  and  easier  to navigate,  so you can  find  more of what  you love,  all in one place, easy.  With a series of updates to Sky Go, there’s now more sporting action available to watch on your devices, anywhere.   

What’s  new for Sky Q:  

Keep watching, no matter the weather  – you can now watch recordings,  video on demand and access apps, even if your TV satellite signal is lost

Discover more shows  in  High Dynamic Range, HDR, with a new ‘HDR’ icon  that tells you when you’re  watching TV and movies in this stunning picture quality

Watch Sky originals Tin Star: Liverpool, Gangs of London  and  Emmy award-winning drama  Chernobyl  in  HDR  this  December

Find over 40  movies  in HDR, with  nostalgic classics like  the Back to the Future trilogy, Sky original  The Secret Garden, Dolittle,  Le Mans 66, all 8 Harry Potter movies and many more from 9th  December.  Plus watch new premieres including  Emma,  Little Women and Bad Boys for Life  as they arrive on Sky Cinema, all in HDR

There are  now more ways to use  voice search,  so you can  find personalised recommendations with “What should I watch”  which will show you TV and  movies suited to you, say “Show me great TV” to see the best of Sky and Netflix, or “Made for Laughter lovers” for comedy fans

See what’s live on your ‘favourited’ TV channels with the new personalised What’s On Now and Next  rail  on the home page, so you don’t need to visit the TV guide

There’s  a host  of parental controls already on Sky Q and now you can add a PIN for Apps, so  grown-ups  can choose  and manage  what apps  their kids are  using on the TV. When you set a PIN for an app, you’ll be asked for it every time you open that app up

What’s new for Sky Go:  

Video shorts  showing  the  latest trending sport news, interviews and action  across  Football, F1, Golf, Cricket and Boxing

Access to Sky’s red button channels so you can watch even more Master’s Golf, EFL and Nations League matches on Sky Go
