Morrissey is set to embark on an impressive coast-to-coast U.S. fall tour of large halls that kicks off tomorrow (9.05) at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland and will take the music icon next to New York City’s Forest Hills Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 7 and then elsewhere across the states including stops in Austin, Houston, San Francisco, San Diego, the Five Point Amphitheatre in Irvine (SOLD OUT!), and others before wrapping at LA’s Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 26. The rock pioneer will tour in support of his latest LP, the critically acclaimed 60s/70s covers album California Son (Étienne Records/BMG). The powerful tour package will be completed with the addition of post-punk luminaries Interpol as very special guests, insuring full nights of great music for fans.

Also newsworthy to Morrissey fans this month - several key Morrissey titles that were previously not available to stream on DSPs have now been made available through BMG (Years of Refusal, Ringleader of the Tormentors,You Are the Quarry, Live at Earls Court, Southpaw Grammar). To celebrate, two new playlists have been posted, the first from Morrissey himself, as M hand-picked a playlist of his current favorites from over the years [SPOTIFY APPLE], while BMG added a second by curating their own greatest hits playlist intended to honor the Brit pop icon [SPOTIFY APPLE].

In addition, today Morrissey also drops the vintage-infused lyric video for his take on Dionne Warwick’s “Loneliness Remembers What Happiness Forgets” HERE. The cover is a cut off of California Son which also finds Morrissey putting his incomparable spin on trailblazers like Roy Orbison ("It’s Over"), Joni Mitchell ("Don't Interrupt the Sorrow"). and Bob Dylan ("Only a Pawn In Their Game"). as well as more obscure figures like early gay icon Jobriath ("Morning Starship"). and political activist Phil Ochs ("Days of Decision").
