May 16, 2024 – Sony Music Publishing today announced it has acquired the catalog of award-winning singer, songwriter/producer and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker. The deal expands the company’s longstanding partnership with Parker, which first began in 2009, with SMP representing his entire catalog of songs as well as future works.

One of the most influential artists in music today, Kevin Parker is renowned for his creative impact, having written and produced global hits spanning multiple genres. As the frontman and brainchild behind the Australian psych-rock band Tame Impala, Parker wrote, produced, mixed, sung and performed across every song on Tame Impala’s acclaimed albums Innerspeaker, Lonerism, Currents and their latest album The Slow Rush, which landed at #1 on ARIA’s Albums chart, Billboard’s Rock Albums chart and more.

Parker’s achievements go far beyond Tame Impala, with a songwriting catalog that extends across a diverse range of artists including Rihanna, Travis Scott, Dua Lipa, Mick Jagger, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Gorillaz, Mark Ronson, The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, Kid Cudi, Flaming Lips, A$AP Rocky, Lil Yachty, Don Toliver, Daft Punk, Miguel, as well as The Wiggles.

His recent contributions are featured across several tracks on Dua Lipa’s latest album Radical Optimism, which debuted at #1 on the UK Official Albums chart dated May 9. His credits include “Illusion,” which is currently #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, and “Houdini,” which spent 16 weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and reached #2 on the UK Official Singles chart.
