Iconic Leeds venue Fibre set to release their second installation of their brand new label Fibre Records with a fantastic E.P titled Because Of You (Easy To Love) by Pastel Blue.

Pastel Blue is a talented producer hailing from the birthplace of House Music, Chicago. This EP is a testament to Pastel Blue's prowess in creating captivating House Music that transcends boundaries and resonates with listeners worldwide. With its euphoric pianos and captivating vocals, Pastel Blue has embodied the Fibre sound and bridged the musical essence from Leeds to Chicago.

Chicago-based dance pop and house artist Pastel Blue has received global support on platforms such as BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM, Toolroom, and Spinnin' Records, as well as plays from top DJs such as Sam Feldt, Sam Divine, R3HAB, EDX, and many more. Pastel Blue's Ibiza-ready sound is built for sun-soaked, champagne-fueled adventures and centers around an upscale, summery vibe with his lush pianos, colorful synths, and addicting vocals. When Fibre first opened its doors in the year 2000 no one could have anticipated the important impact it would have on Leeds’ nightlife. Billed as a safe space for all to enjoy a night out in the city, partygoers immediately began flocking to Fibre. It bridged the gap between the more traditional LGBTQ+ bars in the area and the straight venues, where not everyone was made to feel welcome. Fibre has become an institution for the people of Leeds and beyond. It stands for so much in terms of equality, freedom and innovation.

Fibre’s music is what puts it ahead of the game - built on a renowned Funky House sound that was unheard of anywhere else in Leeds during the early 2000s, the venue has maintained its prominence by continually evolving its sound alongside the changes in House Music throughout the decades.

Co-Owner Michael Rothwell says: The concept of launching a record label centred around Fibre and its distinctive sound has always been a topic of discussion, but the timing never seemed quite right. Now, after an incredible 23 years and the launch of our book, we are finally ready to introduce Fibre to the rest of the world with our very own label, Fibre Records. Our mission is clear: to release dance floor filling tracks that embody the unique and captivating sound experienced week after week at Fibre.
