Eric Mackay to lead Warner/Chappell’s global digital strategy & team
Dynamic Executive and Expert Deal-Maker Promoted to Worldwide Role
Warner/Chappell Music, the global publishing company of Warner Music Group, today announced that Eric Mackay has been promoted with immediate effect to Executive Vice President, Global Digital Strategy.
Primarily based in London, Eric will continue to report directly to Jon Platt, Chairman and CEO of Warner/Chappell Music. In his new post, Mackay will be responsible for leading the publisher’s global digital strategy, as well as expanding its commercial partnerships for the benefit of its songwriters. He will oversee Warner/Chappell’s global digital team, which handles the publisher’s relations with established and emerging digital service providers, from streaming services to app developers, and beyond.

Mackay arrived at Warner/Chappell in 2015, as Head of Digital, Europe. He was promoted by Jon Platt to Vice President, Digital, Europe, Middle East & Africa, and Asia-Pacific in September 2016. Before joining Warner/Chappell, Mackay worked at companies including Vevo, CELAS, White Noise and Integral Management. He holds an LLM with Distinction in Entertainment Law from the University of Westminster.
