NHL on TNT to Feature Superstar Sidney Crosby and Playoff Contender Pittsburgh Penguins

Following a busy NHL trade deadline, NHL on TNT will feature teams who made some key moves to help bolster their playoff pushes, including the Penguins, Ducks, and Lightning.

Coverage will begin on Wednesday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. with an NHL on TNT Face Off Presented by Verizon pregame studio show from the state-of-the-art NHL on TNT set in Atlanta. Host Liam McHugh will be joined by Wayne Gretzky, Rick Tocchet and Anson Carter.

Then, star center Sidney Crosby and playoff contenders Pittsburgh Penguins will travel to take on the Buffalo Sabres. Brendan Burke be on the call, along with commentary from Darren Pang and Tarik El-Bashir. Actor (and Toronto Maple Leafs fan) Will Arnett will join the studio team during the first intermission to discuss the game.

At 10 p.m., Calder Trophy candidate Trevor Zegras and the Anaheim Ducks will host the Chicago Blackhawks, in the team’s first game following the trade of goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury to the Minnesota Wild. Kenny Albert will call the game with commentary from Eddie Olczyk and Keith Jones.

On Sunday, March 27, at 2 p.m. the defending Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning will faceoff against the NY Islanders from UBS Arena. Burke, Pang and El-Bashir will be on the call.

McHugh, Tocchet, Carter and Paul Bissonnette will provide analysis and insights between periods during the Lexus First Intermission Report and the Discover Second Intermission Report.
