New York, NY (January 24, 2020) – It’s about to get very loud! The “Queen of Bounce” Big Freedia will release her highly awaited new EP, Louder, on March 13 via East West Records. Pre-order it BELOW.

She teased out the project’s arrival with the title track and first single “Louder” [feat. Icona Pop]. Watch the “Louder” video BELOW. Inspiring widespread critical applause, Rolling Stone dubbed it “dance-ready.”

Billboard crowned it “catchy” and wrote, “Big Freedia makes her voice heard on ‘Louder’.” Consequence of Sound called it, “empowering.” Idolator put it best by predicting, “the ‘Queen of Bounce’ is ready to flourish as a hitmaker in her own right.”

As a whole, the EP shines a light on every side of her genre-blurring style. Steeped in Big Easy instrumental virtuosity, New Orleans staples The Soul Rebels lay down an unbreakable horn-powered groove on the opener “Pipe That” as our star volleys vocals back and forth with Icona Pop once more. It all culminates on the cheeky chant, “Ooh baby, I like that. Ooh baby, I’d pipe that.”

Following 15 million Spotify streams on their collaboration “Raising Hell” and knockout television performances together on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, the American Music Awards, and Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Freedia reunites with Kesha on the soulful and striking “Chasing Rainbows,” which leads to a bright and bold refrain, “They don’t want to chase this rainbow.” The five-track set concludes on the sassy send-off “GTFOMF” [feat. Lil Aaron & Boyfriend].

Throughout every tune, she pushes a mantra of letting your personality ring out as loudly as you possibly can! See full tracklisting below.

In other big news, Big Freedia partners with Facebook to star in their upcoming high-profile More Together Campaign commercial spot set to air this Sunday January 26 during the 2020 GRAMMY® Awards.

Emphasizing inclusivity, it spotlights Facebook groups and assures, “Whatever you are into, there is a group for you.” In the spot, the International Kazoo Players Association, appropriately joins Freedia for a wild kazoo rendition of “Louder” in the clip.

The partnership between Facebook and Big Freedia to bring this spot to light was quite natural: her upcoming EP, “Louder,” reminds those who might be told differently that they should be proud of their passionate individuality and express it louder than ever. This is what Freedia has been preaching for years – anyone who has been to a show will quickly agree, and is a core benefit for Facebook Groups: they offer places for people to share advice, inspiration and feel a sense of belonging which often brings fulfillment and joy.

About Big Freedia:
Renowned worldwide as the “Queen of Bounce,” Big Freedia made history as one of the architects of the influential New Orleans bounce genre. Her exploits have been chronicled everywhere from the popular television series Big Freedia Bounces Back to her own memoir, God Save the Drag Queen Diva!, in addition to pieces in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, OUT, and the cover of PAPER MAG.

Freedia has appeared on tracks with the likes of Beyonce’s Grammy-award winning “Formation” and Drake’s “Nice For What,” to name just a few. Following fan favorites such as Queen Diva [2003], Big Freedia Hitz Vol. 1 [2010], and Just Be Free [2014], she flipped the scene upside down with the 3rd Ward Bounce EP in 2018. The single “Karaoke” [feat. Lizzo] clocked 7.1 million Spotify streams and counting. Not to mention, she appeared as the official VOGUE correspondent for the 2019 Met Gala and appeared on The Wendy Williams Show and the BET Awards.

Expect her to keep making history (and bouncing) in 2020.
