Warner Chappell Music (WCM) U.S. Latin has signed an exclusive administration deal with one of Latin music’s leading voices, Maria Becerra. The agreement comes on the heels of the recent announcement of Becerra joining the Warner Music Latina artist roster in partnership with Warner Music Group labelmate, 300 Entertainment.

At only 23-years-old, she has over 26 million listeners on Spotify and has become one of the most listened to female Latin artists globally. She took home the Visionary Award at Billboard’s inaugural Latin Women in Music gala and was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2021 Latin GRAMMY Awards, among other accomplishments.

Maria Becerra shared: “Thanks to the entire Warner Chappell team for 100% trusting and empowering me and my team. I’m so thrilled and happy to officially be joining the family and continuing to grow! And a huge shoutout to my managers Jose Levy, Natanael Real, and Armando Lozano for believing in me; my creative director Julian Levy; my music producer Xross; and everyone, for always supporting my music vision and making me trust myself even more. ❤”

Lazaro Hernandez, VP of A&R, U.S. Latin & Latin America, WCM, said: “Maria is an artist in every sense of the word. Her skill as a songwriter, unmistakable voice, and confidence to create art that is authentic to her is why she has quickly become a global superstar. It’s only the beginning for La Nena de Argentina, and we’re very excited to work together as she continues to challenge what’s possible in Latin music.”

Gustavo Menéndez, President, U.S. Latin & Latin America, WCM, added: “I’ve been following Maria since she erupted onto the scene, and she continues to surprise me with her incredible and relentless artistic growth. We’re very happy to finally have her in our Warner Chappell Music family.”

Jose Levy, Becerra’s Manager said: “Maria has become one of the most outstanding and versatile artists and songwriters in the music scene, and it is a true honor to have a great ally like Warner Chappell to continue developing her career globally. Thank you to the entire team for their commitment – we’re excited to face these challenges and reach new goals together, accompanying Maria in everything she sets out to do.”

Becerra began her career in 2015, when she took her love for singing to YouTube, amassing a significant following by posting vlogs, as well as a five minute parody monologue, which garnered over one million views within hours of it being posted. After her 2019 debut EP, 222, she became the first Latin artist to sign with 300 Entertainment, joining a roster of heavy-hitter artists including Megan Thee Stallion, Young Thug, Gunna, and more. From there, she released several tracks that took her stardom to a global level, including “High” and its remix, which became the first of many all-women Latin collaborations key to Becerra’s music career. In 2021, she released her first studio album, Animal, featuring Latin hitmakers like Cazzu, Tiago PZK, Becky G, and Danny Ocean, which earned her a Latin GRAMMY nomination for Best Urban Music Album. Last year, she released her sophomore album, LA NENA DE ARGENTINA, in homage to her country. In only a few years, she has amassed over 2.5 billion views on YouTube. This year, she made history by becoming the first Argentine artist to be featured in the legendary Fast and Furious franchise and composed “Te Cura” for the latest film, Fast X. The song surpassed 30 million streams on Spotify, and the official music video exceeded 49 million views.
