States: Any Transactions from the date of Decedent’s Death April 8, 2020 To May 5th 2023 Are Overturned. This would include the Larry Heard and Robert Owens settlement entered into without the authority of the Sherman Estate.

The small but legendary Chicago label TRAX RECORDS has been the topic of negative and in many cases news that was hearsay, involving complex litigation. You’ve read the stories everywhere from The Guardian, Music Week, and many world wide publications, with false headlines used to grab readers attention, but having no regard for the reputation of Rachael Cain TRAX President, and the heirs of the Sherman Estate.

Litigation may be on going but just who will conclude the Heard / Owens case, and the rest of the companies included in ROLLINGSTONE’S May 2023 issue, including Demon Records owned by the BBC, Casablanca, Tap Music Publishing and others, and the question is when?

Nothing will be decided until Judge Terrance McGuire makes that legal decision.

In the words of TRAX legal council regarding the May 6th 2022 Heard /Owens settlement in at least one publication of which the Defendants are aware, an article in The Guardian dated August 25, 2022, you, your clients and their agents and representatives (including Tap) made extensive comments about the settlement of the litigation that violate the Settlement Agreement. We agreed in advance as to what was to be said about the litigation. It was a simple senescence. Nevertheless, you, your clients, and Tap granted an extensive interview (that may have been initiated by the Plaintiffs) in which you commented extensively on the litigation, the proof, the extent to which the Plaintiffs were damaged, the collectability of the damages and categorized the settlement as “winning”.

Your clients and their representatives went even further and made numerous statements and comments that are derogatory and disparaging and can only be expected to harm the personal and business reputations of the Defendants. I frankly cannot conceive of a more egregious breach.

If you think you know it all, you got another thing coming. This tale which has been called a civil war, among other things is just beginning to be unwound both literally and figuratively. At the center of it is a woman Rachael Cain, known as the queen of house music.

When asked about this recent development here is what Cain had to say, “For over 20 years of time during which first ownership of the music was lost and after that until Jan 1st 2022 we had literally no control, not a soul came forward with any claims. My question is why? This all started within 2 weeks of Sherman’s death. Everyone circled around like vultures to literally pick my bones. I know that I haven’t done anything wrong. We were not the ones with responsibility to pay the royalties… I’m happy for my stepdaughter Tessa Sherman who is now recognized as a legal heir. The Crazy thing is certain parties actually tried to deny that Larry even had a daughter… Can you think of anything more cruel or evil than that?

There is a lot more to say about who these people really are and what their agenda really is. I don’t blame the artists except for the couple of them that do know the truth. From the second we got control again, an escrow account was set up and we have been sending out documents to artists last known address so that they can be payed. Well now EVERYTHING is at a halt, until the Sherman Estate is decided. People have tried to buy me out, blackmail me out and even simply pay me and allow me to stay but never tell my story. I may be a crazy lady but I stood tall against large entities. Actually I wish they simply offered to help…

Now I finally have peace!

It won’t be only me or some self serving individuals to make these decisions, I will only be a part and I know that Tessa is an outstanding young lady who is pro- artist and will make fair decisions. It’s like a huge weight has been removed from my soul.

I was just told that Trax was stagnant, and because of all those fighting to tear apart a piece for themselves, we would not overcome the hate of the past. I beg to differ and I want to say just ask the fans about all the great music we have continued to distribute that isn’t tried to 35 plus years ago! The fans and new artists depend on me and even though all these legal disputes have kept me from having money to properly promote them, They believe in me and I trust, love and believe in them.

There will only ever be one TRUE CHICAGO TRAX!

Now you may want to know just who’s is The Sherman Estate? And who will conclude these documents? That will be decided in Cook County Probate Court by Judge McGuire. That date is not yet Known.

Rachael maintains a keen understanding of the evolution, and in a work edge of her industry. She thinks outside the box and has a strong eye for innovation and productivity. She has beautiful public opinion, and is leaving a legacy that will outlast most. She uses her sensitivity as her strength.
