Her hit House music song “I Like Rain” challenged the temporal patterns of music with a soulful, orgasmic flair and earned her a Josie Music Award for Best Song of the Year. It also got her a Grammy nomination and the Get Out Magazine Award from the leading LGBTQ publication in New York City. Her cover of the Jackie De Shannon song “What the World Needs Now is Love” was also Grammy nominated and recorded on Tribeca Records, while several other songs were released on the iconic Chicago House Music label Trax Records. Irene also debuted at the hottest night space in Manhattan, Chelsea T&S.

There is an eloquence in Irene’s enthusiasm. At age 78 her energy is boundless, and her beauty is an anomaly. She is no stranger to the entertainment industry as she has danced, modeled and acted (General Hospital, Home Alone ll, Killer Klowns from Outer Space) all of her life. However, recently she has put her full efforts and focus into singing and song writing.

With the collaboration of singer/songwriter Dona Oxford, Irene Michaels is about to release astounding new music that promises to break records and storm the ramparts of success.
