Already emerging as a true gem of the global festival calendar in 2024, Flow Festival Helsinki is set to continue its sterling reputation as an undeniable hub of modern arts and culture - revealing more unmissable names set to take the stage in the heart of the Finnish capital this August!

Founded in 2004, Flow Festival has grown from an intimate club gathering of 4,000 attendees to a globally recognised music and city festival drawing over 90,000 fans each and every year. In 2007, Flow found its home in the striking old power plant grounds at Suvilahti in Helsinki, a site that has since become synonymous with the festival's identity. During its twenty years of operation, Flow has established its place as one of Europe's most unique festival experiences and, in the summer of 2024, will celebrate the past and future with another unmissable European festival weekend.

Leading the second wave of names announced for Flow Festival 2024, is one of the most talked about British solo artists of the past 18 months: RAYE. With a history-making seven BRIT Award nominations for 2024 (the most-ever for a single artist in a single year) and her debut headline show at London's O2 Arena selling out within a day, RAYE's performance is anticipated as a standout highlight of the festival as a modern pop force comes to the fore in style. Joining the prestigious roster is one of the most defining bands of this generation: IDLES. Hailing from Bristol, the acclaimed band, known for defying expectations and delivering visceral state-of-the-nation addresses, is set to be a compelling force at Flow Festival. From "Ultra Mono" to "Crawler" and now "TANGK" (set to be released February 16th), their fearless spirit and high-octane performance promises to captivate the heart of Helsinki.

Joining them as freshly announced today are indie-pop sensations, Alvvays. Their enchanting melodies and guitar-driven sound effortlessly fuse nostalgia with a contemporary indie vibe, promising an unforgettable experience for attendees at this year's Flow Festival celebrating their critically acclaimed latest album ‘Blue Rev’. With the ability to catch pioneers and influential greats across genres, eras and styles all at Flow Festival Helsinki - it becomes a weekend full of celebration and discovery of artists at the very top of their game. Among the stellar additions to next summer’s lineup are iconic New York alt-trio Blonde Redhead, whose revered status finds a perfect home at one of Europe’s leading festivals for culture along with the French musical ensemble L'Impératrice, delivering a dazzling fusion of retro-infused disco and synth-pop and Miriam Bryant, Swedish-Finnish singer-songwriter known for her powerful and emotive vocals, seamlessly blending pop, soul, and electronic elements in her music.

Flow Festival not only hosts a lineup of global sensations but also shines a spotlight on Finland's vibrant music scene. Among the domestic talents gracing the stage is R&B sensation Karri Koira, who electrified Flow’s Silver Arena at last year’s festival. Presenting a never-before-seen special live show is Finnish Afrotrap leaders Ege Zulu & Orchestre, while renowned artist, queer icon, social influencer, and trailblazer Yeboyah brings her star-quality energy to Flow.

Other domestic additions to Flow’s program include beloved singer-songwriter Vesta, hailed as one of the most exciting and versatile current artists, Jesse Markin and Jambo, blending electronic sounds, body-moving R&B, and rap. Additionally, the program features Finnish indie star Knife Girl, the unpredictable electronic music artist Glayden, and SHRTY, a hit-making artist blending trap music, hip-hop, and Afroswing with a unique sound.

These names join an already formidable programme of exciting boundary-breakers, influential icons, exhilarating and trail-blazing new talent and waiting-to-be-discovered game-changers, including the likes of Fred again.., Pulp, The Smile, PJ Harvey, Jessie Ware, Denzel Curry, Overmono and Kenya Grace as well as celebrated Finnish talent such as Ibe, Arppa presenting a special performance titled Arppa & Sunnuntain seireenit, Antti Autio offering an exclusive performance of his anticipated new album in full, MONKEY MIND, Tinyhawk & Bizzarro and Joalin.

With this latest announcement just a taste of a full broad, diverse and invigorating programme to be announced in the coming months, it once again sets Flow Festival Helsinki apart as a shining beacon of festival culture in the heart of one of Europe’s most incredible cities. With outstanding art installations, sensational top quality restaurants and much more to be discovered - it’s a must for all looking for a unique experience next summer.
