Dallas-hailing rap artist Mdg 4Eva has been riding high since the release of his debut EP in 2019. His latest single, ‘Shiny Man’, created in collaboration with J. Harvey, treats his fans to an even softer shot of RnB laced hip hop that proves that rap tracks can be simultaneously domineering and endearing.

With New York producer BVT Man’s ambient old school grooves that add jazzy layers to the melodic beats flowing beneath Mdg 4Eva’s lyrical flex, Shiny Man is a cathartic track with an uplifting kick.

Mdg 4Eva kept the production in the family by working with their renowned Uncle and mentor at Absolut Production Studios.

Mdg 4Eva said:

“I’m not afraid to speak my mind in a positive light; it is okay to be positive and tough at the same time; that is what I wanted to capture with Shiny Man. Outside of that, I like to think outside of the box when creating songs while staying relatable to my fans and reaching out to new ears”.

Amelia Vandergast at A&R Factory said:

“Shiny Man proves the value of charisma in hip hop; there’s enough in this track to make Elon Musk go bankrupt. Any fans of the eccentricity and bold pretence-lessness of Outkast and Childish Gambino will want to pay attention.
