London dance-pop artist Evan de Roeper shared romantic optimism in his 4-track concept EP that captures the lifecycle of love over the course of 24 hours.

The EP starts with Call My Name; the melodiously soulful track exemplifies the singer-songwriter’s inclination towards autonomy through the distinctively crooned vocals over the disco grooves that will envelop you within the proclamation of pre-emptive passion.

The heat intensifies in track 2, Lavender, which unravels as a frantically ardent 70s pop serenade, before track 3, By My Side, moves into disco pop territory in a celebration of melodious unfaltering adoration. The sun sets on romance with the concluding single, Midnight Drive; a swoonsome final act of longing.

The standout bedroom pop single, Call My Name, was mixed and mastered by Kireimusic and officially released on August 15th. Since, the single has racked up over 30,000 streams on Spotify alone.

Fans of Frank Ocean, The Weeknd and Daniel Caesar will undoubtedly want to indulge.

Evan de Roeper said:

“My 4-track EP, Lavender, documents the cycle of a relationship, told through the stages of a day. Call My Name is the ‘morning’ song, where you are waking up happy and generally optimistic about a future relationship. You are eager to find new love from someone who will call your name. Musically, it carries the euphoria of a Calvin Harris-Esque dance track.”

Amelia Vandergast, the Executive Editor at A&R Factory said:

“Evan de Roeper is the 21st-century dance-pop equivalent to Sinatra in Call My Name. Whoever said that romance is dead clearly wasn’t one of the tens of thousands caught up in his hype.”
