AUS: BMG named one of Australia’s Most Innovative Companies

BMG has been named one of Australia’s Most Innovative Companies - the first Australian music company yet to make it on to the prestigious annual list.

The honor is further recognition of the company’s track record of innovation. In 2020, Fast Company declared BMG to be one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies because of its artist-friendly approach.

This latest recognition of BMG’s commitment to innovation comes in the annual listings published by The Australian Financial Review (AFR) and Boss magazine. The citation highlighted BMG’s Australian-first Indigenous Scholarship Program in partnership with the University of Newcastle showing the company’s strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

It also noted BMG’s Sydney-based operation as a hotbed of eyecatching marketing innovations such as its tattoo parlor takeovers to support a Dope Lemon release, the creation of a cartoon series with Dune Rats, launching a children’s Book with Peking Duk, and designing an album and breakfast cereal bundle for Hockey Dad.

The rigorous selection process for the honor included an extensive, confidential survey of the BMG team to establish their innovation culture.
