Betty Who’s fourth studio album, BIG!, released in October 2022, via BMG, has been nominated for GLAAD Media Award in the Outstanding Music Artist category.
Betty Who went viral on the bombastic strength of the 2014 single ‘Somebody Loves You’, soundtracking Netflix’s Queer Eye reboot with ‘All Things’, solidifying deep ties with foundations like GLAAD and the Trevor Project and becoming an LGBTQI+ icon due to her infectious, always-inclusive artistry.
The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) community and the issues that affect their lives.
Honorees are selected by a process involving over 700 GLAAD Media Award voters and volunteers and are evaluated using four criteria: "Fair, Accurate and Inclusive Representations" of the LGBTQ community, "Boldness and Originality" of the project, significant "Cultural Impact" on mainstream culture, and "Overall Quality" of the project. The first GLAAD Media Awards ceremony took place in 1990. Find out more about the GLAAD Awards below.
