The Society of Composers & Lyricists have announced their nominees for the 4th Annual SCL Awards with BMG songwriter Diane Warren receiving a nomination for Outstanding Original Song for a Dramatic or Documentary Visual Media Production for ‘Applause’ from Tell It Like A Woman. The awards ceremony will be held on February 15, 2023.

This marks Warren’s fourth consecutive year earning an SLC nomination and fifth overall. Previously in 2019 she was nominated for Outstanding Original Song for Visual Media, in 2020 she received her second nomination for Outstanding Original Song for Visual Media with ‘Free’ from The One And Only Ivan, and in 2021 Warren was honored with two nominations for Outstanding Original Song for a Dramatic or Documentary Visual Media Production with ‘(Never Gonna) Tame You’ from The Mustangs: America's Wild Horses and ‘Somehow You Do’ from Four Good Days.

Earlier this year it was announced that Warren had received her 14th Academy Awards nomination for Best Original Song, for ‘Applause’ from Tell It Like A Woman. The Oscars will air live on ABC television on March 12, 2023.
