World-renowned London music venue the Roundhouse continues announcements for Roundhouse Rising Festival 2023. The three-day flagship event takes place from 12th to 14th October, in collaboration with BBC Introducing Live.

Kicking off on Thursday, 12th and Friday, 13th October, Rising Presents x BBC Introducing is designed to spotlight the best new artists and will showcase the latest intake of Roundhouse resident artists in the Studio Theatre. The programme facilitates and supports the creative and professional development of outstanding emerging artists as they transition into building sustainable careers in the creative industries.

Performing on 12th October are bassist, vocalist and composer and dancer from Paris, Amy Gadiaga, London-based singer and songwriter Naima Adams, and Faker Villain, three genre-bending instrumental experimentalists coming together as friends to tell stories through music.

On 13th October, piano-playing singer-songwriter and Sofar Sounds 'one to watch' Hohnen Ford, Istanbul's distinctive-voiced Tendertwin, and musician and presenter from London, Gigi Williams, all perform.

On 14 October, Roundhouse Rising Festival is delighted to partner with BBC Introducing Live to deliver a daytime programme of live panels designed to empower aspiring artists. The day will be split into a number of sessions hosted by very special music industry guests and will include:

Being an Independent Artist
Do you need a record label to make it?
How to Smash a Live Set
The Art Of Song
How We Made It
Getting National Recognition

BBC presenters, including DJ Target, Jess Iszatt, Angelle Joseph, Jasmine Takhar, Abbie McCarthy, and Tom Robinson, will host the panels.

Alongside this inspiring daytime programme of events, artists announced for the Rising Presents x BBC Introducing Live on the evening of Saturday, 14 October, include Colectiva, who explore the spaces between Afro-Latin music and Jazz while reflecting on themes of sisterhood and female empowerment. Drawing from Italo disco, '80s new wave, and art-pop, London-based duo Wooze will also bring their infectious blend of electro-pop, with more acts to be announced.

Established in 2011, Roundhouse Rising Festival has built a reputation for showcasing the diverse creative talent of the future through its reputable creative programme of performances, workshops and access to industry events and traineeships, driving its dedication to supporting new and emerging artists and young people looking to progress their careers in off-stage music roles.

In the last decade, Roundhouse Rising has been a source of new talent discovery and early-career performances from Little Simz, Jacob Banks, Greentea Peng, Kojey Radical, KOKOROKO and many more. Supporting emerging artists as they take their first steps on their respective creative journeys is key to Rising’s purpose. The festival provides a platform for artists to experiment and develop their craft in front of audiences that cherish moments of vulnerability and are ready to lend their ears to the new and unknown.
