UK-based singer-songwriter Angael’s music is characterised by a unique mix of elements. Her alternative pop music is helping her carve out a niche for herself in the exciting music industry. Although she started writing songs in 2013, she transitioned into a new musical persona in 2018. Then, she began to concentrate on her solo career in 2021 after serving as the frontwoman and writer/lyricist for the indie rock group Rilke for a few years.

Angael's journey has been one of development and exploration, from modest beginnings at open mic nights to sharing the stage at renowned locations like Manchester's Night and Day Cafe. Her professional high point came from being nominated for the prestigious American Express Unsigned Awards. She moved to London to continue honing her art and pursuing her love with unflinching commitment, and the attention she received inspired her to go deeper into her music.

Angael fuses modern alternative flare with UK nostalgia, drawing inspiration from early 2000s pop icons like Dido, Sugababes, and Robbie Williams in addition to Timbaland's gritty, catchy sounds. She makes a comeback with her most recent release, "All Leopard". With ease, this engrossing piece blends pop, hip-hop, and alternative sound components to immerse listeners in a world of compelling soundscapes and highlight her flexibility as a singer-songwriter.

The alt-pop/hip-hop record oscillates between chill vibes and then being in-your-face with feeling fed up. Along with Angael’s intriguing vocals that will grab the listener's attention from the first note, the daring and dynamic production on "All Leopard" includes a drum kit, piano, electric guitar, synth bass, and samples incorporating a glamorous and playful tone.

Angael learned that a lot of the inspiration for pop music originates from traditional Swedish folk music after researching how the Swedes master songwriting. She fell into traditional English folk music as a result of this. The track was inspired by ‘Watch The Throne’, amongst the femininity of her favourite singers like Billie Eilish, Raye, and Lana Del Rey. She decided to add some Kanye West-inspired production to her new song after hearing a lovely performance of "Greensleeves" sampled, while the drums were inspired by "Empire State of Mind".

On ‘All Leopard’, Angael collaborated with Soundmason (Lupe Fiasco), a producer. She composed the vocal melody and lyrics once they had the rhythm, purposefully being complacent about the potential risks of dating in the age of dating apps and secretly bored with it. The synth bass adds some gritty bottom to the song and makes it come to life. The track has a lot of personality overall, and the electric guitars provide a rock aspect.

On the track, Angael states, “With this "Watch The Throne" (Jay-Z and Kanye West) inspired beat, I nonchalantly deliberate over the perils of online dating, endless disappointment, and navigating staying safe as a woman in the digital dating age. When I say "Have you heard I like to slumber", I'm actually referring to the fact that I'll likely hit snooze on my dating life, then follow through with the pursuit of a man post-exchange of numbers. But it's also open to interpretation. If you wanna think I'm being suggestive, I'm fine with that too.”

Angael is gearing up to bring her music to life with a talented band by her side. Her sound is a delicate balance of melancholy and hope, weaving together introspective lyrics and infectious melodies. She takes listeners on a voyage of introspection, self-discovery, and—most importantly—fun with each performance.
