MaeThePirate is an electronic dance pop artist who uses her cello to add a special flare to every track. Mae says “Botellón was a song inspired by online friends and the stagnancy of staying indoors over covid, a habit not all of us have shaken. You may call people online and have fun separately in your rooms, but somewhere outside your bedroom window someone is dancing. Neon is about trying to spin the sadder side into something more fun and uplifting. I may be dancing alone in my room, but someone out there might be dancing with me.”
