The Candle Light Children, the musical project spearheaded by Adan Brightside, is ready to kick 2024 off with a new single, "Try Again". Drawing inspiration from a diverse array of artists such as The Weeknd, Dayglow, Japanese Breakfast, The Strokes, and Clairo, The Candle Light Children has carved a unique niche in the music industry, seamlessly blending elements of bedroom pop, dream pop, synthpop, and pop punk.

Founded in 2020, The Candle Light Children is a collaborative effort between Adan Brightside, his brother Ridh, and guitarist Pierre Ibrahim. The trio embarked on their musical journey with the release of their debut single, 'It Doesn't Matter Anyway', in March 2021. The overwhelming success of this track paved the way for three more singles, culminating in the release of their debut EP, 'Pastor Pedro & The Candle Light Children Vol.01', in 2022. This EP, produced, mixed, and mastered by Myst Deisanto, delves into the theme of transitioning from adolescence to adulthood and embracing the unexpected changes that accompany it.

Continuing their musical exploration, the band unveiled "Pastor Pedro & The Candle Light Children Vol.02" later that year, capturing the essence of life's best years through a blend of synthpop, dream pop, and pop punk genres. Subsequently, Adan Brightside released the concept EP titled 'Winona’, a vibrant celebration of life, resilience, and perseverance.

Their new single, "Try Again", co-written by the trio reflects Adan's personal journey of attempting to reconcile with an ex-girlfriend. In Adan's own words, "With The Candle Light Children, I’ve always thrived to create songs that sound like the soundtrack to movies, and I feel that this song isn’t so different." Notably, "Try Again" features Ridh taking the lead vocals for the first time since the formation of the projecy. The song is a nostalgia-filled exploration of trying to reclaim something lost, ultimately leading to the acceptance that it's gone.
