Following the success of his "Nice To Meet You" EP, which offered a sincere exploration of Shane Rennison's emotions and his connection to his beloved Catskills Mountains, he is ready to return with his first 2024 release.

Produced by the talented Julian Giaimo, “What You Need To Know” was written on the acoustic guitar by Shane and together they were able to pay homage to it in the production process by laying down an integral part of the rhythm on a 12-string acoustic.

"This song as a whole is about meeting someone who is self-absorbed and used to getting everything they want based on their looks," shares Rennison, shedding light on the inspiration behind the track. "It's about telling them what they need to know in order to grow emotionally and avoid the pitfalls of being self-absorbed long-term."
