Not a lot of people will be serenading Donald Trump when he visits the UK on 13 July. But some will be singing along with a new track from indie-pop duo Caplin & Massiah.

All You is a passionate anthem that sums up the feelings of many about the world's most powerful reality star. “Used to think you were funny,” it begins, before building to a rousing chorus: “All you care about is money, and I don’t think it’s funny anymore.” Mixing reggae lilt with pop production and a splash of Bajan, it is ready to take its place as this summer’s protest hit.

“We mustn’t let ourselves get used to Trump” says Caplin. “He's a walking catalogue of human awfulness. If we don’t want people like that as our leaders, we need to do something about it. All You is just a song, but songs can change things”.

“He’s a nasty piece of work,” agrees Massiah. “But this song is also about anyone who thinks money is the most important thing in the world. We’ve all met someone like that, and I hope people will relate to how we feel about it.”

Caplin & Massiah is a new name for a duo with a big history. Barbados-born singer Zeeteah Massiah has had a No. 1 dance hit in the US, performed on world tours with Tom Jones and Michael Jackson, and sung with legends from Robbie Williams to Johnny Hallyday. Her husband Paul Caplin was the songwriter for rebellious eighties pop band Haysi Fantayzee, before becoming a successful tech entrepreneur and software mogul. This is their first release as a duo, proving that age is no obstacle to creativity.

A mass protest is planned in London on the 13th of July to make clear how the British public feel about his state visit. 50,000 people are set to attend the march, and we can expect them to be singing this defiant and thought provoking track.
