Tired Cossack releases his latest EP titled 'Celo' which features 6 tracks. The EP has a Rock feel but is heavily inspired by Country music.

Tired Cossack was really feeling country music, or at least portions of it. He was listening to a lot of early Kenny Rogers and felt like trying to express the feelings he got from that music, while also experimenting with his own tastes and sounds that he like.

Tired Cossack is a solo project by Stephen Halas. The project started in Winnipeg in Fall of 2020 with a self-titled EP. Tired Cossack takes influences from post punk and 80s pop artists like the Cure and indie acts like Wolf Parade, while staying true to his Winnipeg roots, echoing folkier tones reminiscent of Neil Young. All of this is mixed in with a strong connection to his Ukrainian heritage and the folkloric mysticism that goes with it.
