'The New Normal' EP is a series of songs that were born out of silence. Silence running along the downtown streets of Portland under a rainy sky. Silence standing in the frigid water of the Oregon coast. Silence lying awake at the earliest hours of morning. These are words and melodies that only came when everything else was shut out.

The EP was produced amidst a world in lockdown and, as such, was recorded remotely in both Portland and England. The tracks were then put in the capable hands of Guy Massey (Beatles, Paul Simon, Radiohead) to mix together in London.

Mondelet is a storyteller and songwriter from Portland Oregon. Having been raised on the music of Paul Simon, Cat Stevens, and the Beatles, he writes with an ear towards the complicated--those persistent questions that are always present in matters of the heart, politics, religion, and love.
