Chrysalism releases 'Orange Light District'OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY Goryl Records North London’s Chrysalism releases new single ‘Orange Light District’ on the 22nd of June, a masterpiece of his darkwave, vintage-inspired RnB indie balladry. Chrysalism embraces everyday melodrama, crafting romantic Lo-fi songs, combined with an eye for aesthetic taken from co-ownership of a visual arts collective Peekabu Luv. This spirit of collaboration is exemplified by Jakob Ogawa’s guitarist Axel Oksby appearing on the single. Coming from post-communist scene of eastern Europe, Chrysalism reflects his Czech roots through oldschool driving post punk. This energetic dark-wave then breaks into modern R&B soundscape that dissolves the track into an electronic buzz of early 2000s synths and lyrics that romantically reflect Chrysalism's states of dealing with mental illness and disassociation.
