Violet Temples releases 'Enemy'

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

'Enemy' was written as a result of Violet Temples being fed up with his own destructive tendencies; laziness, a lack of self-discipline, self-sabotage. He was able to recognize his potential and come up with great ideas, yet he had no followthrough. This song is literally his intervening with himself like, "Hey, you are getting nowhere in life, pull yourself together."

Sonically, 'Enemy' is an upbeat pop song that combines modern pop and disco elements. While Violet Temples first EP consisted of dark, mid-tempo synthpop, he wanted to use 'Enemy' as a way to showcase himself as a well-rounded producer. He was particularly inspired by Carly Rae Jepsen's modern take on the disco sound, as well as musicians such as Allie X.
