New Plague Radio's The Beeswax EP is a unique blend of in-your-face absurdist hip-hop and rock that touches several other sounds without sacrificing anything. Rapper Chief Redeye's verses touch on everything from mental instability to horror scenarios to sexual conquests, with Donovan Wolfington and Devin Taylor laying down guitar and bass that grooves and knocks in equal measure.

New Plague Radio formed when Los Angeles rapper Chief Redeye asked Berklee trained singer and composer Donovan Wolfington to organize his 2019 album release show. Wolfington reached out to Stretch Zero's Devin Taylor to play bass, and the trio, bonded by their mutual love of foreign horror films and old cartoons, began writing songs between rehearsals. 'Methamphetamine Dance', their debut single and video, was released in November 2020. AnR Factory declared “if you don’t feel your heart rate quicken as New Plague Radio’s single unravels, you might want to check for a pulse”. They followed up in December with their EP 'The Beeswax', which Gas Mask Magazine said “hooks you and keeps you addicted”. Razor sharp wordplay punctuates grooving guitar lines and New Plague Radio’s unique penchant for barbershop-inspired vocal arrangements.
