'He Got A Gun' was written in reaction to the renewal of school shootings after the covid lockdown was lifted. The song takes on the narrative of both the victims and the shooter with the chorus being from each perspective. The verses tell the story from the victim's point of view, whereas the bridge lets us in on the shooter's motivation.

Aine O'Flaherty is a singer/producer, who plays bass and produces her own music under the stage name Mary Ellen. Having previously produced music as one half of the R&B/Pop duo Peralta, Mary Ellen began as a side project during the pandemic, to allow Aine to experiment with other genres. Mary Ellen is mainly influenced by The Breeders, Gorrilaz, Biig Piig, and Yo La Tengo.

As the producer of Peralta, Aine has had music played on national radio, as well as smaller local radio stations. As a solo composer, she has composed music in collaboration with Aaron Egginton for artist Elaine Hoey's installation in the National Modern Arts Museum.
