Expanding on the “Big Riffs and Emo Sensibilities” ethos showcased by their debut EP Grey. Cave builds on the bands visceral yet delicate blend of rock and metal, comprised of emotive vocals, introspective lyrics and nostalgic yet modern riffs.

Opening with an expansive, dreamlike soundscape and twinkling guitars, Mike and Zander’s wistful harmonies tell the story of ‘Plato’s Cave’, from a different point of view. Erupting into a soaring chorus, the riffs push the track on at a belting rate of knots, while the lyrics explore the notion of being stuck in an echo chamber of one’s own design. Touching on the ideas of social media algorithms, the human psyche, and fear of the unknown, Cave presents a sonic allegory that is as hard hitting lyrically as it is instrumentally.
