With their unique mix of Samba, Punk and Dance, Lend me the Twelve begin their journey to bring the self-christened sound of ‘Black Samba’ into the light of the new world with their first single ‘Devil’s Avocado’, out 29th July, off their upcoming 3 track EP ‘Songs Of Interest’, out digitally 11th August on Full Power Records.

Acting as the entry point into LMT12’s weird and wonderful world, ‘Devil’s Avocado’ is an energetic samba-punk track that is sure to make you ask for more! What starts with a Brazilian tinged bounce of an acoustic guitar and soaring vocals, the track turns into a rip-roaring rush of punk swipes and kinetic stabs with moments of serene flights through the cosmos. An exploration into the fruit that the earth offers, ‘Devil’s Avocado’ can act as a guideline for a balanced diet of earthly goods. If it doesn’t nourish your soul, then you must beat it and you must relieve it.

Lend me the Twelve is made up of members Sam ‘Kaiza Kushington’ Pappon, ‘St James’ McGuinness, and Callum ‘The Hyde’ Stephens, and they have been quietly leaving their mark around the South London scene for the past 3 years, through ripping up the stages of venues such as The Windmill with their high energy live shows to being active contributors and key players to the eclectic sound of DIY label Full Power Records. The band featured on the labels 2nd split single tape release alongside Barringtone and contributed one of the stand out tracks on their compilation release ‘FP Vol.1’ last year May.
