waitwhat releases 'Diamonds'OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASENEWS PROVIDED BY Goryl Records 'Diamonds' was a lot of fun for us to make, as many of the sounds come from an old hardware synthesizer we found buried in Damon’s garage. From there Daramola did what he does best and gave us some awesome vocals, and he did a great job matching the aggressive feel of the instrumental. The song turned out confident and energetic. Troy Skinner and Damon Dokhani, known as waitwhat, are a DJ/producer duo based in the Bay Area. Troy and Damon first met during their time at UC Berkeley, where Troy began producing and Damon made strides towards becoming a solo performing act under the moniker NomaD. After seeing the potential in one another, Damon joined Troy’s solo project, waitwhat, in June 2017. Since then, waitwhat has accumulated millions of streams across all platforms, led by their first original “Alive” – released through Future Bass XO of the Chill Trap Network – and their remix of Tep No's "Sippin' On Feelings" with SEPPIE – released on Ultra Records. During this same time, waitwhat has shared stages with notable acts including Audien, Ekali, Zeds Dead, Joyryde, Jauz, Vincent, Nitti Gritti and more.
