Peter comments: “I used to be that party animal. See the picture of me sprayed gold as proof! But that was some time ago. These days I’m more of a spectator.” The song celebrates (or maybe denigrates!) the “party animals/ disco cannibals” who are so “desperate to dazzle/ when they’re out on the razzle” and end up “out on the lash/ till they crash, crash, crash”.
