Following praise for her songwriting style from Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music, Music Crowns, Skope Mag and Love Life; Love Music, Jay Moussa-Mann returns with a feel good summer love song ‘One Summer’s Day’. The 80s/90s inspired bop, highlights upbeat synth and guitar driven adventure with her signature lyrical style. ‘One Summer’s Day’, draws listeners into a love story about a girl learning to drive one summer in Turkey and meeting a guy who offers to let her borrow his very fancy car. The track paints a whimsical, soundscape of a nostalgic summer, full of dreams and unrequited love.

“I think I was going for Turkey’s answer to All Too Well,” Jay laughs. “No, in all seriousness, there’s something mysterious and addictive about unrequited love stories or timing never working out. I wanted to try and describe this one summer that really stuck with me. I wanted to capture that feeling of Mediterranean evenings, motorbike rides and adventure.”

‘One Summer’s Day’ is definitely a song for the summer and will appeal to fans of Maisie Peters and Taylor Swift with an extra dash of 90s nostalgia.

Jay’s new single “One Summer’s Day” will be available on all platforms on the 24th June 2022.

Jay’s songs have been played on BBC 6 Music on Tom Robinson’s Mixtape, BBC Tees Introducing and featured in Music Crowns, Skope Magazine, NE Volume, NARC Magazine, Love Life; Love Music and Headstuff. Her previous single ‘American Tennessee’ was chosen in the roundup of BBC Introducing Tees Best of 2021. It won Track of the Week on BBC Tees Introducing and has been broadcast on Amazing Radio and Roxanne de Bastion’s Monday Morning Shake Up Show on Boogaloo Radio.
