‘What It’s Like With You’ is a sultry indie-pop track, sang from the perspective of an infatuated heroine, obsessed with the unobtainable object of her affection. The accompanying alternative music video, directed by Jay, draws on her background in TV and Film to delve deeper into the character looking through a lens of empathy.

Producer and songwriter Patrick Jordan (Young Rebel Set, Motions) wrote the melody at the beach before getting the band together that evening, where he and Chris Saunders worked on building up the music together at Patrick’s studio. Jay developed the lyrics from the line ‘Light down low’, choosing to write from the perspective of an antihero, similar to Alex out of Fatal Attraction and Scarlett O’Hara from Gone With The Wind.
