Shakira announces new album release date

Shakira has confirmed the release date of her next album.

The 'Hips Don't Lie' star recently unleashed the single 'Can't Remember to Forget You', which features Rihanna.

Whilst plugging the song on Twitter, Shakira confirmed that her next record will hit shelves in late March.

She said: "Get #CantRememberToForgetYou ft @Rihanna - from Shak's new album, coming March 25!"

The record will be released a day earlier (March 24) in the UK.

'Can't Forget to Remember You' meanwhile is now available to buy on iTunes.

Speaking recently about her Rihanna collaboration, Shakira told Ryan Seacrest:

"We’re both from the Caribbean, so I always thought we had this common ground and this song is pretty reggae, but it also has that rock attitude that I think Rihanna has, so that’s why I thought she was the natural choice for collaboration on this record, but I also thought it was a little bit of a challenge to get her to record this track because she’s so busy."

"I honestly thought it’d never happen, but I said, ‘I’m going to send it to her and see what happens.’ And she heard the record and she loved it and she said she was on board and I was the happiest girl alive!"
